The SEVAR Belt Dryer is a direct or indirect fired, double pass belt dryer. Feed material can be dryed at a min. DS content of appr. 15 % dry solids. The desired product DS content can be adjusted between 45 - 95 % DS. The sludge is extruded into sludge strands and drops down onto the top belt of the dryer in a uniform pile. Granulating the material into a wormlike shape, increases the surface area of the material available to heat and mass transfer. The dry air is recirculated inside the dryer and evaporates the water from the wet product. The humidified, cool air is finally extracted from the dryer and again recirculated in most applications.

Final dry solids content easyly adjustable
with a final dry solids content of 40 to 90%, the dry product can be utilized directly in agriculture, composted, landfilled or incinerated
Odour control
by a negative pressure in the drier, high recycling and treatment of the drying gas
